Should I start my own business?
I have been working as a CAD Drafter for about six years, have a college AS degree, working on a certification test & have been thinking about starting my own home based drafting business. I love drafting & using the programs that go along with it. I have done work for friends as favors but sick of not getting paid. Currently I am employed full-time as a drafter but it seems like it's a dead end job for many different reasons & would like to work for myself. I haven't taken any business classes but worked in an office setting most of my career. I live in a small community but can see where my work could be greatly used. I have been working on a business plan off & on struggling with should I or shouldn't I. It's been a dream of mine for some time that I would like to make my full-time job. I've heard the pros & cons but wonder if it's as hard as it's made out to be. I'm begining to wonder if it's just me worrying too much about all the ifs that's holding me back. Any suggestions?
